About our 2022 COVID Safety Precautions

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Christmas At The Village, 2022. Please be assured that we will be following AHS restrictions that are in place at the time of our event.   Currently as of Sept 17th, 2021, these are the guidelines that are in place. This will change as restrictions change and as we get closer to the 2022 events.

We will be implementing the Restrictions Exemption Program requiring proof of vaccination or negative test result to continue operating as usual. Here's what that means for our event:
Businesses that choose to implement the Restrictions Exemption Program must continue to follow indoor mandatory masking requirements, but can operate without capacity or operating restrictions if they require people aged 12 and over to show one of the following:
  • proof of vaccination
  • full vaccination (two doses) required after October 25
  • proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories not allowed)
  • documentation of a medical exemption

Additionally, Please know that we are planning to serve you at the same table that your group will be at for the Welcome Reception and the Saturday presentations. The safest way to protect yourself, is to get vaccinated but if you can't and you plan to attend, please make your arrangements to get your rapid covid test, 72 hours prior to the event. Mandatory masking is still in effect.

Please note that the Village restaurants are also running under the REP program but that the Retailers are operating at 1/3 capacity and masking & sanitizing is mandatory.

NOTE: In 2020, we hosted two Christmas At The Village events safely, before there was a vaccine, without incident. In 2021 we did the same, with vaccinations. We will do the same in 2022. It is out intention for everyone to stay safe by floolowing the guidelines while they enjoy this fun getaway event. This page will be updated if restrictions change.
